If you didn't skate around 1990- 1991, then you have no idea how awesome it was. It was still new to alot of people. The only skateboard game was "Skate or Die" on Nintendo. Thrasher magazine was the sh!t. Vans and Air Walk were top of the line skate shoes. If we could only imagine how far gaming would come.

To answer the question I had I believe it was a lot of missed opportunity and the filing environment and genre changed throughout time. I’m honestly really big hater of Mortal Kombat and injustice and shit like that but one one game that still sticks out for me for times to come is any of the marvel versus Capcom games I feel like they have so much great qualities about them and some of those qualities could even be features of fighting games nowadays. I’m really big fan of melty blood type lumina, and one aspect I found in there that translates to marvel versus Capcom is a “auto beat” feature all it is is just if you press the same button and it starts up a combo but you can turn it off and you can do a lot with that you can instead pretty much do air, combos and stuff like oh you wouldn’t mind versus Capcom two or one I just really like that

I’ve played MK, SF , Tekken (literally my childhood ) and others. Nothing beats the grabs, offensive holds, tag fighting and overall how dynamic DOA is, specially characters like Ayane and Hayabusa with mind boggling agility. Say what you want about DOA , but it really is the most enjoyable fighting game I have ever played.

I miss driving combat games.

Infamous 2 and First Light were the best games in the series but all of them are worth playing. Sony could easily make another studio do it either as a hard or soft reboot and let SP keep making Ghost games.
